STRATEGI PARTAI POLITIK DALAM MENINGKATKAN PARTISIPASI POLITIK GENERASI Z

Generation Z has become the largest voting bloc within Indonesia's political demography, yet this numerical dominance has not automatically translated into proportional engagement in formal political activities, including party membership and cadre development. This article examines the strategies political parties employ to stimulate Generation Z's political participation and identifies the supporting and inhibiting factors involved. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with a case-study design, data were gathered through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and organizational document review within a regional political party structure. The findings reveal four principal strategic domains: adaptive digital communication aligned with youth platform culture, participatory political education, strengthened tiered cadre regeneration, and direct involvement of Generation Z in party agendas and decision-making. Supporting factors include organizational openness and digital resource availability, while inhibiting factors include residual political apathy, limited substantive political literacy, and a tendency toward episodic, symbolic participation. These findings extend the Civic Voluntarism Model by foregrounding digital recruitment as a contemporary political pathway, while underscoring that the sustainability of Generation Z's participation depends on institutional consistency in providing meaningful space rather than digital visibility alone
