DAMPAK PROXY WAR AMERIKA SERIKAT DAN RUSIA TERHADAP SURIAH DAN UKRAINA SEBAGAI NEGARA PIHAK KETIGA

Abstract

This article analyzes the impact of the involvement of the United States (US) and Russia in several conflicts occurring in other countries. Proxy war has become a conflict strategy by both sides. There are several countries that are the target of conflict, including Syria and Ukraine. The analysis focuses on the impact of this proxy war on Syria and Ukraine, namely its impact in the political, economic, and humanitarian fields. His analysis refers to the concept of Proxy War and the concept of International Anarchy. Meanwhile, the research method used is a qualitative approach that is descriptive and explanatory. Data sources are obtained from secondary data, namely, journals, mass media, books, and website articles. The findings show that the impact of proxy wars causes significant losses to third-party countries. Much of the infrastructure has been damaged, countless casualties, and various forms of humanitarian crises. Negative impacts are a direct threat to third party countries, although on the other hand many efforts have been made by various parties to stem the impact.
