This research discusses conflicts of interest related to the development of PT. Indonesia Morowali Industrial Park (IMIP) in Morowali Regency, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. Various parties such as local communities, the Indonesian government, and Chinese stakeholders have different aspirations regarding economic growth, employment, infrastructure, and the environment. Local communities are worried about labor and infrastructure inequality, while the government focuses on nickel downstreaming and economic growth without paying attention to local needs. Chinese stakeholders pay more attention to access to resources and investment, conflicts arise due to power and influence gaps. Proposed solutions include dialogue, community economic empowerment, enforcement of environmental regulations, and adaptation of national policies to local needs to promote balanced industrial development.
